What we collect

This website does not require an account and does not ask you to sign in.

We only receive personal information when you choose to send it, by using the partnership inquiry form, the contact form, the community voices form, the giving form, or the newsletter signup. Those forms ask for your name and email address, and depending on the form, your role, your organization, your phone number, and details about what you are asking for.

If analytics are switched on, we also receive aggregate information about how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and which website a visitor arrived from. That information is not tied to a named person.

Giving and payment information

This website never asks for, receives, or stores card numbers, bank details, or any other payment credentials. There is no payment form on this site.

When online giving is connected, payment is handled on the secure page of a reputable payment provider. Their privacy policy applies to what happens there, and we will link to it from the Give page.

Until then, the giving form on this site sends us your name, email address, and what you would like to support, so that a person can contact you to arrange it. Nothing is charged.

Information about young people

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website, and we do not ask for it.

Our forms deliberately do not request student names, student records, disciplinary history, court records, medical information, or any other personal history about an individual young person. We ask organizations to describe their group in general terms only, such as an approximate number of young people and an age range.

If you are under 18 and you want to tell us something, please ask a parent, guardian, counselor, teacher, or youth leader to contact us with you.

If you believe a young person has sent us personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Stories and quotes you send us

Anything you submit through the community voices form goes to a person at Level Up Foundation. It is not published automatically and it does not appear anywhere on this website on its own.

Before any part of what you send is published, we contact you and ask for your written permission. We publish words as they were written rather than rewriting them, and we do not publish the full name of anyone under 18 or identifiable photographs of minors.

You can ask us to remove your words at any time, for any reason, and we will.

How we use what you send

We use the details you submit to reply to you, to understand what you are asking for, and to follow up about partnership, funding, volunteering, or giving as relevant to your message.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build marketing profiles.

We may share limited information with a service provider that helps us operate this website or deliver our email, and only so that they can provide that service to us.

Photographs

We do not publish identifiable photographs of participating young people, and we do not treat images of young people as proof of our work.

Where a photograph of a young person is ever used, it will be with documented permission from a parent or guardian, and where a partner organization has its own media policy and consent process we follow theirs.

Illustrative or stock imagery, where used, is identified as such and never presented as a photograph of someone we have worked with.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising cookies and does not use third-party tracking pixels.

Fonts are served from this website rather than from a third-party font service, so viewing a page does not send a request to another company.

If privacy-conscious analytics are switched on, they are configured to measure page views and referral sources in aggregate, without cookies and without collecting personal information.

How long we keep things

Inquiry, contact, giving, and story submissions are kept for as long as they are useful for the relationship they relate to, and then deleted.

If you would like us to delete your details sooner, contact us and we will do it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond.

You can also simply not use the forms. Nothing on this site requires you to submit personal information in order to read it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
